National News: The crisis of coronavirus is knocking once again in the country. After being under control for several months, now there is a rapid increase in the cases of COVID-19. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday, the number of active corona cases in India has increased to 3,395. Experts are seeing this as a sign of the re-spread of the epidemic.

Kerala has the highest number of cases

The highest number of cases in India are coming from Kerala, where 1,336 active cases have been registered. After this, 467 cases have been found in Maharashtra and 375 cases in the national capital, Delhi. The effect of COVID is now slowly spreading to other states as well. States like Gujarat (265), Karnataka (234), West Bengal (205), Tamil Nadu (185), and Uttar Pradesh (117) are also seen coming under its grip.

Rapidly increasing infection cases, 10-fold increase in a week

Talking about the Covid graph, on May 22, there were only 257 active cases in the country. By May 26, this number increased to 1,010, and now, on June 1, this figure has reached 3,395. In the last 24 hours, 685 new cases have been registered, while four people have also lost their lives. Among the dead, one patient each was from Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh.

Experts believe that this increase could be the beginning of a new infection cycle. According to Worldometer, India last recorded more than 3,000 active cases on April 1, 2023.

Central government alert, said, ready to deal with every situation

In view of the increasing cases of corona, Union Minister of State for Health and AYUSH Prataprao Jadhav has assured that the central government is fully prepared to deal with any possible emergency. Talking to a news agency, he said, "Our Health Ministry is alert, and the situation is being monitored every moment. There will be no shortage of necessary resources."

Appeal to the public: Wear a mask, get tested if symptoms appear

Experts and doctors have appealed to the citizens not to take the infection lightly. Avoid crowds, wear masks, and get tested if symptoms appear. Especially the elderly, children, and sick people need to be extra cautious.

Need of awareness and vigilance to fight with corona

Although this wave of corona is still in its initial stages, the increase in the figures is raising concerns. In such a situation, once again the countrymen have to be aware and vigilant. Like last time, this time also vigilance and cooperation will be the most effective weapon to overcome the epidemic.
